Community Relationships
At the heart of our commitment to mentoring is the idea that one person can make aprofound difference.
Through a variety of firm-sponsored programs, our employees are actively involved in enriching the community.
Whether it is teaching a young child the joy of reading, raising funds to eradicate a disease, or donating clothing and toys to make a family's holiday wishes come true, our goal is to make a lasting positive effect on the lives of others.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Workplace Mentoring Program.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters Workplace Mentoring Program matches volunteers from RBHolding with junior high and high school students. Most of the visits allow the student and volunteer to interact on an individual basis. This time can be spent in a variety of ways—on homework, talking and learning about each other or just having fun together. One-to-one visits are always held at our corporate offices and group activities are planned for some of the biweekly visits.
Everybody Wins Foundation Power Lunch
The Everybody Wins Power Lunch Program provides a convenient and rewarding way for busy working people to volunteer their time. The program pairs employees, one-to-one, with elementary school students, who greatly benefit from the personal attention and learn that reading is fun. One day each week, volunteers walk or take the bus to a nearby school and share lunch, conversation and good books with their young reading partners. Talking with and reading aloud to a child for just one lunch hour a week helps that child succeed.
RBHolding Partners In Education Mentoring Program
The RBHolding Partners in Education Mentoring Program introduces students to the world of business by partnering them with mentors. Through the program, the students, who attend Fordham Leadership Academy for Business and Technology in the Bronx, receive additional support services, including college and career exploration, tutoring and much more. It is our hope that all of these activities will increase a student's interest and success in school. Every week the students in our program make a visit to our 383 Madison Avenue location to see their mentors or participate in a group activity.
RBHolding Exploring Post
Exploring helps young adults between the ages of 14 to 20 investigate career choices by visiting companies and organizations and engaging in day-to-day office activities. Each firm maintains its own workshop or "post" onsite. The Exploring Post at RBHolding, established in 2001, focuses on careers in the financial world. Past workshops have introduced students to investment banking, e-commerce, marketing, technology and the mechanics of investing in the stock market. Through our mentoring programs, our greatest asset—our employees—help young people discover their potential to succeed, both in and out of the classroom. |
